Yep. Once I can get work out of the way! Right now I'm working on building a site for a lethbridge based kawaski dealership and thats taking all my free time!

Not to sound cocky or arrogant, but you will have a tough time sticking up there with www.photoshopjunkie.com and my site www.photo-chop.com .
Soon, hopefully bryce will want to become affiliated with me - maybe I can put advertising on his site if I host some forums for him or something like that.
You barely even have 20 active members, I harldy think that gives you the right to criticize others. I didn't make that site just so that i can brag about it like you do, I made it to help people learn how to use photoshop. BTW, while were talking about our sites, you have what, 3 tutorials? Thank you they are very helpful im sure. Chop-it-up has got 15 tutorials and counting but, its not like that's what people find helpful, oh wait, it is.

Well he does have ~160-170 "registered users"... i don't know about how active... but I just know i didin't know about that site until I read this post...
Not to put you down or anything mentel(cause u're a mod and i don't want my ass banned), but the layout on the site is pretty uhh... "basic" for a photoshop site, I would probably expect it to be more on the "eye-candy" side...
Also, a T1 line(1.5mbits/s) is nothing for hosting a site, especially when it gets graphics-intensive, just htink about it... 1.5mbits/s is only 187.5kbytes/s, a fairly large JPEG image is roughly that size already... unless you don't expect many ppl visiting, its just going to get REAL slow, on top of that, get ready to pay mucho $$$ for all that bandwidth...

As far as I'm concerned PSJ is the only definitive auto-photochopping site. Photo-chop.com needs a LOT more in content to pull its own weight. I don't see why they're even being compared. And when PSJ gets its own forums... lookout. They have hundreds of entrants in their contests.

cheers,
iLL

I'm not trying to put your site down either.

Layout on my site is basic. I don't need "supremo eye candy" to run it. Yes I have a VERY VERY busy life and I cannot devote ALL my time to running tutorials! They will come. My bandwidth is free for me, a family member hosts my site, I don't have to worry about paying mucho $ either.

You guys shouldn't be so harsh and critical with these words of yours.

chop-it-up.com Yes, you have '15' tutorials, good for you keep them coming. But I was more aimed towards the traffic side of things when comparing our sites. When I get all my tutorials up, then PJ should watch out. The only reason hes ahead of me is because of tutorials.

You can all go ahead and criticise all you want and think what you want, we are all entitled to our own opinions, but please keep them reasonably mature and the insults etc etc at a minimum.

I have to agree with you there. I was hesitant to start up photo-chop.com because of PJ, but I went and did it and so far it's doing great

Oh, and I've never once bragged bout my site, I've never once gone to a message forum and said "HEY EVERYONE COME LOOK AT MY SITE!!!".........NOT ONCE. So please don't try and accuse me of bragging, seeing as how it never occured.

If I get anymore replies from you or anyone else that are not positive this thread will be removed. So choose your words wisely ifyou wish to carry this discussion on.

Well i dont have the patiance to answer to all but i want to

PSJ is an ok site (I luv his work Chop wise)

I would run my own but dont have the resources or the knowlage yet

untill such time I will support mentel and his site

Rest assured I will help make it the best chop site out there

Which will be hard cause there are thoussands of photoshop specific sites and maybe 15 good car chop topics in forums about the same amount of crap ones though

www.worth1000.com holds 100s of comps

and do a google search on altered images see what comes up
