looks- opinion
Turbo - can pretty easily be done
leather - just takes money, but who wants leather when you can get race seats in the car stock! (they are out of a skyline)

wat do you guys think of that new altima? with 240hp i'm sure you can lay down some turf in civic-land. i kinda like the design. celicas are cool, but that 6sp was hard to shift sometimes.

say kenchan dawg ...I never said an Altima was tight, but the new ones got it. Upgraded tha tailights,V6, and they got 240hp? Not bad at all man. They would be stomping V6 Accords anyday. Every car manufacturer now is trying to bring it to da table.

they are really nice, I actually saw a preproduction model, one of the test mules at the Nissan proving grounds out here in Az. It was very nice, good fit and finish (for a test car-still pre production stuff, so parts of the interior were kinda rough), but overall i do like the car, more so than the older altimas. Also, don't forget it's a big heavy ass car. It's like taking a N/A 300zx and comparing it to a 200sx SE-R, one has a LOT more hp, but cause of the weight it's really not that much faster, if any. But you're talking about torqueless wonders, so yeah, the Nissan is still gonna rip em a good one. (hopefully)

yah, some guy nearby got the metallic gray one... it was very sharp lookin' nissan should've changed the name though imo. altima sounds so econobox-ish to me. yah, it'll stomp on a V6 accord probably...but the funny thing was that when I dragged against their V6 coupe on my G, i was only about 1/2car length behind. so much for honda's V6 power....huh?

I think my wife's old altima could've dusted that V6.

Yeah, a modded G20 will take those out pretty easily (they are heavy ass cars) . As for the new Alitma, i don't know how a G20 would do? I think it depends on how many mods teh G20 has, and how many passengers teh new altima has, damn 240hp (and torque!):cry:

yah, kinda sad to watch a younger sibling kick our asses...its aint like we're old or anything. datz why Im planning to get a IS300 next time with the TRD 5MT. package deals about $37K, but no other mods needed....other than tires, probably.

This was the first time I was ever at the track to race anyway. I know it could be improved (my friend with an 85 300ZX ran a 17.049 and 81.6 the same night). I know I could have done better. The last time I ever had a tune up was at 60K miles, I'm planning on doing an overhaul tune up soon. Also, I need a new clutch (the stock one isn't slipping but it does have 101K miles on it now). I plan on going out there the first week its open next year (by that time I hope to have the car lowered, an ACT clutch, some wider and stickier tires). Right now I have BF Goodrich Excentia Touring tires (they are and 80K mile treadwear warranty, definitily a hard compound tire). I figure with some Yokohama Parada's, lowering springs, an ACT clutch, I should be somewhere in the lower 16's (something like a 16.1@89 would be nice).

Do you mean the Honda S2000 as the great torqueless wonder, 240HP but only like 150 lb/ft of torque, if it even has than much.

Well, for the hp they don't have that much torque, but i was more closely referring to a B16 powered honda. they are usually around 10x.xx ft.lbs w/ mods. I've seen a couple reach over 110, but not too many.

True, the B16A has shit for torque, I think my farts generate more torque than those engines.

Civic EX's have 110lbs of torque. I am not backing them, just stating facts. Still shitty doh.

come to think of it, my 00 civicHB is a B16...not sure. it was as fast at my P11 off the line. wife and I dragged. both AT's. hummmm... civic is completely stock other than the alpine stereo I put in there.
