ARGH!

Well I found out something fun last night...

So called "flexible bumper paint" does NOT like the pressure washer. Took the paint RIGHT off the fender lips.

There must be something akin to herculiner without the texture.

Anyone?

I guess I will have to be really carefull with mine since it is just rust paint.
I wonder if I need to put on some type of clear coat to protect the paint.

I think that you can thin down the Herculiner.
I went to a few of the sites when I was trying to find it and there is something that will make it thinner (it still will probally have some texture though).

This may sound stupid...

But I wonder if a simple strainer would work with herculiner? I just don't like those little granuals.

Buy the components separate?

Maybe you guys could find where they spray them and ask them if they mix the stuff? It might be two separate components where they spray the truck beds commercially?

Moby-
I was a the power wash today and my paint stayed on

The paint I used was just play old rust paint.
I used Flat but it comes in gloss.
Before I painted I sanded the plastic a lot to give it something to bit.

Just thought that you might want to try this since it is easier to use than Heculiner and does not have lumps.

You guys should really look into www.por-15.com for the permanent paints

They simply have the best products out there. Try Chassis coat black... not sure if it comes in non gloss.

POR-15

That is what I use when I restored cars. I also use it on my Sliders when I drag them. Stuff works great.
