i know the j-spec sti is labeled at 276, but what does it really have? i know that cars in japan have to be labeled as having 276 hp or less for the emissions or something there. i mean the skyline is labeled at 276hp wtf.

I'm sure the Skyline is a little bit underated.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's gotta be near the 276 mark in stock specs.... It's just freaking insane when you find out how restrictive the intake and exhaust system is. whoooooooo

They put precats on alot of these cars, especially on Japan. From intake to exhaust tip some of them have 4 cats. And when you take one off, you get a gain of anywhere from 15-40hp. So you can reason what the engines really put out.

Yeah, take THAT, enviroment!

I think Porsche proved in the late 80s we can have performance, and low emissions... in fact, they're still doing it. The 996 TT is California emissions cleared, and actually is quite a bit cleaner than the standard.
