A v12 isn't any longer than a I6, but it's wider.

Interestingly enough there will be a Z4 with an M badge, what exactly it will be called or by what will it be powered is still up in the air, but currently a revised e46 engine is at the top of the list, it will come in at around the same time the 5.8L 550hp V10 M5 is released early to mid 2005.

Unfortunately for all of you, I'm not at liberty to discuss where this information arrived from.
