From what I read, the 05 will not be having a Cobra.
So then the GT, with its 3v SOHC will be pushing 400 hp with the blower. DAMN. |

lol
where did you read that-------there has been a cobra model every year since 93, except for the 2000 year because of the 99 fisaco. I don't believe there not being a cobra. If it isn't a brand new cobra---it will be a carry over. But unless Ford says so, which it hasn't, there will be a Cobra----barring another quality problem like in 99.

I thik the front is awsome, but the rear panels are a bit chubby. Kind of like they took the body of the 65 and cut the center portion out and pushed it all togather. Something just doesnt click, but Im willing to over look that.

thats a bullit website. and there is nothing there talking about the cancelling of a 2005 cobra model. If anything----I'd go by what blueovalnews.com states-----since they are Ford's watchdog service---and there is no anticipation of not producing the cobra model any of the upcoming years.

the guys are getting it wrong. The blower will be on the cobra model. Ford isn't going to supercharge the GT anytime soon. The cobra just got the blower on it-----why would Ford build a GT with the same blower to match the Cobras performance. It doesn't make sense. Besides-----everyone is getting confused because they saw that the concept model was blown and had a GT badge! This is a CONCEPT----not the final production model. Its blown for concept purposes. the current GT stands at 260hp----ITS NOT GETTING BLOWN--------because if it were----------Ford would have to match the current sticker on the Cobra for the GT. You will not see a blown GT for $28K. Guys are misreading the concept!

also, the Cobra model is standard every year------and there is no source from Ford even speculating about the Cobra missing a year anytime soon. Thats just a bullshit rumor that has no truth to it. Lastly, if you read the article on the mustang concept-----towards the end of the article it states that the Cobra will have more of an aggresive look that the Gt. There is your proof that the Cobra will not miss a beat.

I hope that they can improve their interior design in this new model.
the current mustang's interior is not that good. what do you think? |

the concept model---has a pretty outrageous interior---that being good of course. I just wish Ford would get away from this nostalgia BS and do retro models for anniversary or limited production specials. I think redesigning the vehicle this way----is going the wrong way. The New Edge design was the right way-----now they are screwing it all up. Hopefully they'll improve upon the new design.

I like it, for the most part. Normally I'm cynical on Stangs, being a big-burley GM fanatic (though, oddly, I drive a "little" V8). But I must say that this car is a dreamy concoction.
I hope the interior, in it's final morph, doesn't mirror the current one. I kinda like the current one, but it's dated way back to the ancient days of 1994 or 95 when it first rolled out. I'd like to see some billet or at least some billet looking parts. Stangs and metal are all American and a natural combination. And I'd agree with everyone that says NO GT will be supercharged. That's a bit off the wall. Cobra, yes. GT, no. The biggest thing I miss is the LX trim badge. I never really like the old boxy looking 80's Stangs but the LX 5.0 was a good idea. Kinda like a strip-down budget GT. All the muscle, none of the jewelry, just what us southern folk like (except for maybe a nice loud chrome-tipped exhaust). |

Sorry, but the last decent Mustang I saw was in 1994... back when the body matched the interior (rounded) and the tail lights had narrow horizontal slats. This new design reminds me of the new Thunderbird (in other words, :apuke: ).
The styling job on the front makes the car look like its getting butt-fkked and can't stand it... ![]() Look at the way the eyebrows bend down at the sides and the grille looks like a big mouth gasping for air. A very weak-wristed design. Compare it to this: The inward slant of the eyes looks evil, like its going to attack its prey and kill everything on the road:smoka:

I see your point DMC- it does kinda have a this worried look. Oh well- at least they didn't take the spin that Lexus has and make it look like someone tried to scalp it and pull it's eyes around to the side of the head (Chevy had the same brain fart with the dufus looking front of the new Silverado series-- looks way too pansy compared to the Ram and the Ford Super Duty)
