deng that's dry!!! well, that's why when i buy fujimi kits i always insist to see every part of it before i pay. the new ones i've noticed are more decent and better than their previous efforts like the new toyota estima(previa) it's somewhat at par with tamiya's quality. as for their RX7 FD kits i rather buy an aoshima kit or better yet jus get the tamiya ones, much better.

Fujimi gives you the opportunity to correct the flaws, and make an incomplete kit look better. It's like anyone can make a good looking model made by Tamiya, but not the same with Fujimi or Aoshima.
Fujimi's still suffering from the loss of the people, who were involved in Hi-Mecha series and Enthusiast Model Series, because of their family problem.
Just ask here before you buy any Fujimi kit, or if you already have one, you are the only one who make make it look better than the other, which is put together by someone else.
Fujimi people are very nice, but they need damn good engineers.

I got mine from what I is a major hobbyshop in Singapore, I didn't buy the models, a friend bought them there for me and I am paying him later. I'm not saying they have problems i'm sort of asking if Fujimi kits are meant to come with different things that aren't mentioned or used in them. The decal sheet I got was about half the size of a A4 piece of paper, and all that was on it were tuner decals..So did I score a tuner sheet by mistake or on purpose?

Actually, I kinda think that we, all, are quite spoiled by The big T (Tamiya) , because all of their kits are not so difficult to make and look great without too much work on them. Tamiya kits are like the summum of affordable scale modelling.

Then you have the lesser, or let's call them the "more labour intensive" kits made by Revell, Fujimi and Italeri, etc., which can be seen as a challenge to make them look good. I 'm working on a racing F40 right now, made by fujimi, and I have really learned about this modelling experience.

You need to get a lot of reference material, if you want even the slightest amount of details on your model and you think of techniques to make your fujimi model look like a tamiya one , sure it takes a lot more time to get there , but hey, it's fun, challenging and quite rewarding...
So my conclusion is; don't kill em:silly2: but love 'em , cause they are the real deal to get them right, they are the barometer to see if you're a "gifted" modeler

just my two cents don't have to believe me

Yes, quite positive. It came wrapped in a plastic bag along with a sprue containing an steering wheel and single racing seat. Perhaps those were additions in order to be more accurate concerning the interior of the C-West RX-7. The sprue says "Hashiriya seat" on it.

Think this is a later production run than the C-wests being built on the forum. I got mine quite recently from HLJ. There's a bright shiny red and chrome sticker on the side that says 'SPECIAL' with some Japanese text I can't read, so maybe I got a special edition?

Guess you did :sun:

It's still interesting why they would include a CF for the CWest as the real one doesnt use CF hood, at least from most of the photos.

Seems that you were lucky...
All of us with C-West Rx-7 did not have that carbon fiber decal...

It seems like you are blamming Singapore hobby shop screw up your money...I hope you doesn't mean that. Because all the Fujimi are direct from Japan. The one screw up your pocket is Fujimi not Singapore, so if you don't mind, please don't keep mention Singapore hobby shop this...and that... Is simply not fair to the hobby shop in Singapore, thanks.
As for the extra decal came inside the models like Initial D, usually, those so called Initial D kit are actually the normal Tohge series, that's why they included the car maker sponcer decals. Keep it for your next tuned car. If you don't like it, I think there's alot of AF modelers don't to keep one...

I didn't get that extra parts either. It must be that sticker thing.
Anyway, the recent examples do have dry carbon hood. Since C-West kit is very popular, many shops use it for their demo cars.
I wish Aoshima takes just one more step and include the hood with air outlet, or includes a complete Super Endurance racer decal sheet.

Now you're talking Hiroaki

Hiroaki, slightly off topic, what are the chances of Fujimi re-releasing the limited edition S15 with aerokits (Garage Mak, CWestin, Esprit, etc.)?

Why don't you guys just buy carbon fiber stickers at your local shops? Or online? I know there "ment" for RICER Vehicles I mean real cars, but I MUCH RATHER see them on a model. hehe
