OMG, that civic must be so fast with all those wings... I wouldn't even want to touch that car

Ricecop has a few sections, such as the Accused(which are sent in by people), and the Convicted, which are the reviewed ones...

I mean, come on. A civic with a 2 foot high double deck aluminum wing? I don't care if it has 300hp, it doesn't need a double deck wing.

While I recognize there are some fairly powerful Hondas out there, rare as they are, the only ones I have seen that require the kind of downforce a large aluminum wing produces are drag cars, and they have drag suspension.

I saw a road test to see how much down force spoilers really make. They tested a Mustang and something else i don't remember. The only time there was any usable downforce was at over 100 mph. How often are you over 100mph? Well, don't everyone jump and answer the question, 'cause i know. Well what I'm saying is I can see puting a spoiler on for cosmetics, but these outrageous! They shoulds be banned from the roads! They look like airplanes from 1894!

Well, bigger wings like those work at lower speeds, but if you think about it...

You've got a front wheel drive car. You're steering, accelerating and braking with front wheels. It is much more likely you are going to understeer than oversteer. The reason touring cars have those wings is to prevent throttle off oversteer at high speeds, because the only way they can keep them from understeering is by giving them a mechanical bias towards oversteer, and compensating with downforce.

I consider any street car with an aluminum spoiler rice, unless they have a very high ratio of f/r spring rate, which no street car has(read, taking your foot off the gas during low speed corner = spin).
