Its good for off-roading.Its not reliable though. They have tons of engine problems and most of the ones I have been in are all falling appart inside.

I have a '96 Grand Cherokee with 90,000 miles on it. No engine problems what-so ever. My mother ran it 13,000 miles once until the crankcase was empty. Then added 5 quarts of oil to it and kept driving. It also hauled my Wrangler home 1500 miles with no problem at all. The 5.2L V8 as well as the 4.7L V8 are one of the most reliable on the market. Oh yeah, and my interior is flawless.

Any SUV can go 90K without problems. And all cars run on oil so because your jeep ran on oil doesnt make it special. And again, any SUV can haul a tiny wrangler.Im telling you, most of them have engine problems. My neighbors died at 110K.Thats reliable?

And the Envoy is? Give me a damn break.

I have a 1999 Limited Grand Cherokee and it is pretty damn nice on the inside. It has a lot of options that I bet you don't even know that they have, plus as I said, the ones on your list aren't SUVs, they are useless off roading, they are SVs, they have no utility abpout them.

The Touareg has plenty of off-road ability as Porsche- who makes the SUV with world-class off-roading ability (The Cayenne) helped VW develop the Touraeg- hence I have high expectations of the Touaregs off-road ability

WakkaWu--No, not every SUV can haul a Wrangler full of equipment through the Rock Mountains. I'd like to see a Hyundai or a Honda CRV do that. And I said the Grand Cherokee was run until the crankcase was empty, meaning it was run with NO oil in it. Oh yeah, and this was done in July in southern California.

if we're only talking SUV's then the X5 shouldn't be up there either, it is technically a Sports Activity Vehicle. It is also my pick, 4.6is 0wns me!

The envoy is quite the luxury SUV.

Sorry but its not my list. And ALL of those are SUV's.Why do you say there not.Cherokee is an off-roading SUV not luxury. You want luxury get an Escalade(which can also go off-roading with no problem)or any of the one that were up there.

I agree. But the ones up there can.You took your cherokee and dragged a Wrangler through mountains. Now be specific here so people know what your trying to say.You took it on paved roads that wents trough the mountains for 1500 miles. And if you ran your Jeep on no oil thats stupid and you probably took 10,000 miles of your engines life.
