Ichi-Go in Japanese means both 15 and Strawberry, so when Japanese car enthusiasts refer to the front end of an S15 Silvia, they call it a Strawberry Face conversion. funny that you should mention a 1580 (S15 front end on 180SX back end, 15-80, get it? ) as i was just thinking of ordering the Initial D Sileighty and an S15 and melding them together. seems to me the best way to go about it would be to cut the front fenders of the 180 and the fenders of the S15 about halfway through the wheel-well and melding them with putty instead of cutting right at the doors, as the S15 front panels are shaped differently and wouldn't line up properly with the doors. i think this is a project i'm going to tackle in the very near future...another interesting idea that i've seen completed in real life is an S15 front end on an S13 coupe rear end, or even an S14 front on a 180SX back end. conversions like this are a dime a dozen in japan, so there's many different combinations.

btw, does anyone have ANY idea where either of those limited release S15's (Garage Mak and C-West) might be available??? those are 2 of my favourite front ends for the S15, and i've been looking for a kit for ages!

i c, i thought he was saying "sileighty" sounds like "ichigo". i was like . anyways, as you say those conversions are a dime a dozen in japan. it's crazy, i seen some s14's with a s15 front and a s13 back. the only reason you know it was a s14 before was cause the owner said so. i love the option videos, gives you plenty modeling ideas.

:alien2: i think that, that conversion would be pretty sick:alien2:
if i ever get a spare s-15 kit and a 18sx kit i would be sure to have a shot at that conversion:frog:

On a similar note, Chris; Are you going to have any sort of 'suggestion box' for your enterprise?

Indeed!

Fortunately, hobby shops around me have been stocking up on the veilside S15 lately and finally able to get my hand on one (see sig).

Btw, that blue S13-S15 frankenstein that Chris shows has a veilside front bumper in case anyone interested in making one.

the hobby shop at the mall near me has about 4 Fujimi S15 Spec-R's...if anyone wants me to pick one up for them, i can do so very easily...just say the word!

about the project: this has been on my "to-do" list for a long time, just never had the cojones to attack it! i think the next trip i make to Pacific Mall, i'll be buying an S15 and some putty and making it happen (already have a 180 waiting in the ranks...)! speaking of 180's, those are hard as hell to get ahold of too! the one i bought was the first one i've ever seen in person before, so naturally i grabbed it right away.

Au contreur! (sp! :o) I have a Bomex catalog with that front bumper listed as Bomex Alligator.

Then it says stuff like "BOMEX [something japanese] ...BOMB [something japanese] EXPLOSIVE [something something japanese] PRAY TO GOD OF BOMEX; I HOPE YOUR SPEED OVER THE RIVAL."
