the Stang Gt runs more like the 5.6-5.9 depending on the skill of the driver. Of course, if the driver sucks that much, he'll be pulling some low to mid 6's and that's the only way the 02 max stock will be the gt stock.

Thanks, I think some 15" drag radials would make a huge difference. I have an auto, and it's impossible to modulate the throttle on the bottle (hey that kinda rymes!)

Ok guys you say that Mustang Gts are faster than Maximas.

Where I live there are alot of Mustang GTs here. I had a 96 Maxima SE

that beat every GT around here. By the way your talking about the new

Gt beating the new 02 Maxima, 0 to 60 maybe so, but if the Maximas

1/4 time is the same as the 02 Altima 3.5 SE the Maxima will beat or be

about the same speed as a new GT. Sorry GT boys.

how did the altima get draged into this convo? well either ways, the altima does 60 on a average of low 6's. i'm not sure if the max is faster. can someone fill me in on this please?

Does anyone else think that its kinda sad that a Japanese V6 family sedan is not only competing but might also beat an American V8 "sports" car?

heh i guess you got a point. but remember the new Atlimas and the Maxima's where always designed with performance in mind. sooo just think of them as comfortable 4 door sports cars. much like the Evo or WRX but to a lesser extent.
