...the paint is Model Master Italian Red. I know its been a while.... the only hold up right now is that it needs polish. I haven't had a chance to get to the hobby store lately to get some. ...I have a question though: can i use Tamiya polishing compound on paint that is not a Tamiya paint?? If not, what would be good to use? |

Re: WIP: '70 Chevelle SS 454
Ok...still no polish, but a little progress to show for right now.
The rest is the stuff that has to be done after the body is finished... I got the radiator and fan cover painted and ready to be attached. ...and some of the parts for the engine bay. ![]() I painted the front bumper and grille. The signal lights in the pics on the box and in the instructions are bright orange but in the pictures i have found they are more light yellow. ...so i painted them yellow with flat white on top so that they actually look like lights with covers... ![]() I made mention earlier about the raising of the rear suspension and lowering of the front but had no pictures... I know that it is very simple but it worked for what i needed. The back is raised 0.8mm, and the front is lowered 1.6mm VV so here it is VV FRONT ![]() ![]() REAR ![]() ![]() Well...thats it for now. I hope to have some polish for the body soon. Till then, let me know what ya think. Comments and criticisms welcome. Peace! |
