I dunno, my dad has this stuff that sticks to his woodstove when we have the pipes over 800* (burning out creosote... it sounds cool as hell.) but it's never come off, can says if you prep and spray it, then bake it dry, recote, and bake again, it will harden like enamel, and won't peel under extreme (up to 1100* F operation.)

yeah, they do, and you have to bake it on, or else it will just come back off.. hell, you could spray your stuff w/ undercoating, and that actually works, although it smells bad for a day or two while running it, and it doesn't come off for a couple weeks at least, until the dirt starts getting to it.
Now I'm thinking about wrapping the header and downpipe up tight, and maybe the cat too, and just painting anywhere that you would see... that's all I really want, is just to make things less noticeable. |
