No, judging by your reading comprehension skills, you need school more than anything.

No, yes, no - this in response to your 3 questions in the order you asked them in.

Seriously sunshine, if you watched that movie and you think it's even 1% close to real, you've missed the entertainment value of the movie and taken it as a documentary.
BTW, noticed what happened in the movie - the skinny white kid got perforated - that's totally for real!

No, i dont.
No, Yes, No.

Do people really not get together like that and race?
You saying no to this question tells me that they DO get together. And if you meant they don't, please specify that "No, they don't" or "No, they do" instead of insulting me or making little smart remarks. That makes you look REAL mature.

Is their driving just way too good to be true?
There was no problems on this question. You said "Yes, it is too good to be true" or thats what i understood this to be.

Are the cars waay too riced out
Again, you said No and I understand this to be "No, they arent too riced out" which should be correct.

Please point out where i made "reading comprehension" mistakes.

I've watched a show on G4 before (think its gone now) where they had a black guy hosting it and he went around the world to big street car shows like this, so correct me if im wrong because im the uneducated one here, but people getting together like that DOES happen.

Re: Getting Started...

OKay, I confess, I misread your post, I apologise.

Regardless dude, throw away that fast & furious DVD and spend time reading up on the real scene, most of the guys here will help.

As for that 'show' - the guy was going to organized event like Nopi, what happened in the movie you watched is a load of rubbish.

Re: Getting Started...

In my area yeah, people do get together to race. They don't race in the same area they gather, though. Its a bit stepped up in the movies, mostly poetic license. But its in the same league as most action movies. Even SPR and BHD had moments that were just over the top. It would take serious work to any of the cars in those movies to do what they are able to do, but that is part of the entertainment value.

I see it this way. They got the general idea right. People get together, sometimes bet money, and race. Everything else they added in to kill a few hours. I was far more bothered in the third movie that it took Boswell about two days to become fluent in Japanese as opposed to the drift stunts.

In all honesty, if they made a movie that was real spot on about street racing it would be two hours of people standing around and talking shit and racing. Check out Mischief, the IMV films, etc. That takes the acting and the stunts and the over the top stuff out to show what its kinda like.

Getting started? No clue. For me it was just kinda random.

Re: Getting Started...

I couldn't tell you. I simply think that organized street racing is stupid on so many levels. I've spectated a few and I'll not go back. I like to race for fun so I stick to the occasional freeway pull, spontaneous stop light run, and canyon driving.

The problem with FatF was that it misrepresented the street racing scene by overplaying it. They weren't accurate about what and how people worked on their cars. It also wasn't accurate about cars in general.

Re: Getting Started...

If things in Miami were like how they portayed it in 2f2f then I would be in heaven here, but unfortunately its not. Sure there is some underground street racing going on but nothing extreme like in the movie. and if it does get big the cops bust it before anything happens. We used to gather up at a gas station in the middle of nowhere since the station sold race gas and people would race for money and fun. Cops raided that and put an end to it over 6 months ago.

But I will tell you though, the women here are beautiful just like in the movie

Does it control the front back and side to side?

You do know you have a computer in your steering wheel, right?
