wow that looks brilliant! I gues it would start up if you have the 1/12 key?
quick question... I wondered why you didn't install the rivets before painting the body since that saves time but I later thought there is a big risc in polishing of the paint on the rivits right? Is that why you painted them seperately?

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. I did spend alot of time in the man-shed cutting metal for this one. I have posted up in the 'completed' subforum, so you can see finished product.

I chose to put the rivets on after painting and polishing the body so that I could have a polished surface right up to the edges of the rivets. Didnt know if I was making a mistake or not at the time, because I didnt know if the paint around the rivet holes would chip and flake off when I cleaned the holes with a drill to install the rivets. Fortunately, it wasnt a problem.
