£20 for a brand new 1:24 3000GT ... i doubt a 1:1 brand new would cost £480... although i guess labour costs and time woud be increased if your brand new car cam on plastic sprues :P

a 3000GT kit shouldn't have cost you £20.
I still don't understand how anyone can say this is a cheap hobby.
I don't even want to think how much I've spent on kits in the last month.

The difference between a car and a kit is that a car has more intrinsic value than a kit. Yes, a real 3000GT is going to cost a bit more than £480 but whatever you pay for it, that value is there. Can't say the same for the kit version.

yeah, im used to paying for parts on my 1:10 electric cars, so modeling is really quite a cheap thing for me although at the moment, im broke so im taking as many possible shortcuts as i can
