Re: Ebay Intake Advice!
Yea it's a short ram. I use the term interchangeably b/c a cold air gets you nothing more or less than a short ram. I'm sure an open element could get you 1, maybe 2 miles per gallon. But regular tune-ups do a world of difference as well.

I ended up getting a throttle body spacer and that actually gave me another mile or 2 a gallon, im getting about 29-31 when driving around town, not too bad for a 15 year old car lol. But seriously, fuel filters are often overlooked when people do tune ups so i'd be sure to change that out if i were you. It's kind of a pain, but well worth it. you can also save money by doing it yourself, there are step by step instuctions with pics on the websites www.stealth316.com and www.vr4stealth.com definatly change your plugs yourself! Its pretty easy although it takes time and i dont trust most mech. to actually change the back ones if you take it somewhere!

Re: Ebay Intake Advice!
hi, I just bought and intake off of ebay, the one that I put in my original post, I had no troubles putting it in, and a funny little thing at least was that I don't know when the person I bought it from last changed the air filter on the car, but when I opened up the air box there were a bunch of leaves in it. That might hinder air flow huh? LOL. but anyways, my question is that when I put the filter in, I disconnected the battery to have the O2 sensor reset, and then I turned on the engine. Everything seems to run fine, and now my engine makes a bit louder of a noise, but now I saw that my "CHECK ENGINE" light is on all the time. I know this has to do with my new Open Air Filter I put in, I just have no idea how to turn that off/if it means anything. Any help would be great. thanks!

![]() Also, if you want a good dry filter that is comperable to a K&N AEM makes some new ones that are really good and flow well. Best of all, no regular oilings. |

Re: Ebay Intake Advice!
Atomiccornpuffs, your CEL is on? That makes no sense the intake would have nothing to do with that. Did you forget to plug the MAS in or something?
