I wanted to do the blue car from the Brazil leg and I can't with just the A decals. It's a small piece, and there's an additional little decal sheet with american plates (only red car again ...) included anyway, so I was quite disapointed with that, to be honest. I think KA staff should learn that these little things make us modellers respect the brand so much more. Just for the future.

Thanks for sharing your progress on the build. Why did you decide to paint the white area instead of using the decals?
Hi, ales

Thank you for your interest in my work.

A small decal included both A and B is mean "you can make USA 599 both Red and Blue car"

American lisence plate must use only USA.

But you need two decal - Set A and B if you want red USA.

And....

I was painting white area.

Because it's better easy for me.

That's too difficult to make decal on severe curved surface and too difficult to put decals.

Thank you for your interest again.

see you!!!

Man, sorry for the storm around your job but most here are in the process to do it, so we're a bit excited.

I would like to know more about the stencil tip you used. May you expain better?

I expected you glued (white glue according the Stevensky's copyrighted tip) the "stencil" over the white area and sprayed the TdF blue? Or did you used directly the decals and removed after the blue?

Zory for the effort needed but is a point that would be helpful for most.

And don't worry for the english: those is a thing that most italians can't do better LOL

Hi, gionc

Thank you for your kind!

My painting process is followed.

1. painting metalic blue with airbrush. I am using lacquer paint which from hiroboy's zero custom paint.

2. make mask with 3M masking tape(Yellow colored).

3. painting white with airbrush. I am using Gunze Mr. color based lacquer paint.

4. a little sanding coarse surface.

5. Clear Coat with Mr.color "Super clear"

6. And polish with tamiya compaund.

7. Finish!

See you!!

Re: Ferrari 599 Panamerican 20,000 tour

Oki thanks, I misunderstand the thing of the two decals, I guessed you used decals as a template.

I'm starting to be worried for the color match, my TdF blue should be on the way but this would be the result:

And your stuff, sure great, is very different, lighter, and with a "green turquoise shade" and in the refs I have the TdF have a violet reflection. The Ts51 I used over Ts50 on the 360CS seem be a good match.....

I hope Steve have the time to see this and reassure us.

Hi, gionc!

Thank you for your reply.

I think body color is little different too.

But this color is not for 599GTB.

And this color is pretty good I think.

I believe steve will make 599GTB Color.

See you!

Re: Ferrari 599 Panamerican 20,000 tour

Hi, all

I try new version of 599GTB Panamerican.

That is weathering by dust 599GTB.

At first, I paint with tamiya enamel paint by airbrush.

I cleaned up windshield glass with Enamel thiner by slender-writing brush.

I touch up the mud with enamel by slender-writing brush.

And clean up the cleaned traces by hand with enamel thiner by slender-writing brush.

This area that cleaned traces is use wet cotton stick by thiner.

Then almost finish!!!

See you at completed gallery.
