Re: Rim Opinions

Ok so I started looking again and found these.

Opinions?

EDIT: They don't come in 18's. I really want these. Opinions on bronze on silver?

Re: Rim Opinions

I wouldn't get bronze, doesn't go with silver to well. Not a fan of the first ones either.

EDIT: I have always been a loved this style rim, not sure if it will look good on an eclipse but deffinatly a hot wheel.

Re: Rim Opinions

Too many spokes for my tastes.

Just found out that my hookup also can get Roja's. I think I found what I want. What do you guys think about these?

Re: Rim Opinions

What would would it run me to get a set of 19s, and is it practical on a car that would primarily be used for going fast. I really like 5 or 6 spoke rims.

Does anyone know exactley how much it would be a set of 19s in any color of these rims? They look awesome and very expensive.

Re: Rim Opinions

Damn dude dont be so lazy. You know who makes the wheel and what its called. Look that shit up yourself, no need to waste my time when you can do it just as good as I can. And dont put 19's on a car if you lookin for speed, to much weight and not enought tire. Go with 17's for performance, you could get 18's if you wanted but most people just go with 17's.

What exactly do you mean by "fast"? You drive an RS...not to be a dick but I don't think your gonna have a problem there.

I would say 18" rims are the max for these cars, regardless of your trim model.

I've actually seen a set of 19's on an Eclipse before and I thought it looked pretty sexy and fills the wheel wells nicely... I wouldn't go that big myself though...

I think those wheels look great, much better than the old selection. Do 18's if you can, trust me.

Re: Rim Opinions

I want to slam my car down (maybe coilovers.) Would i get any rub with 18s if i were to drop it over 1 inch? I mean when turning i would think it would just chew the tire up right?

I've got a set for my Talon. I test fit them on my Eclipse (mind you it sits like 2.5" off the ground), and it looked sexy as HELL. Couldn't drive it though, it would rub because the car is so low.

No, 18's will not rub, as a matter of fact 19's wont rub depending on how low you want to go. I'm going with 19's and a 2" drop on the Talon and I'm 99% sure they won't rub.

EDIT: Figured I should add that although 19's are sexy as a mofo, they kill performance. So if you're looking for anything performance wise, I would stay with 17's. Or just keep the stockers or get a set of lightweight 15's for when track time comes like I'm doing.

I'm guessing 17's with 40 profile tires.
