Well guys, after working last night and this morning I am almost done stripping the blue car. All that I want to get out of it yet is the dash, rear end, and the windshield (which I wont take out, dad's glass shop buddy will do that for me). Oh and that damn pesky wiring harness. I will have some pics for ya tonight. Hopefully the motor will go in tomorrow and be ready to drive one Tuesday!

Anyway, I got the purple car to the shop and got the blue car basically stripped. Tomorrow the old engine will come out, shit will go down, and pics will be taked. Stay tuned.

In that case what you want for the AWD tranny and the rear tranny?

Rear tranny?... Come on dude... Its a rear differential... lol

And its not gonna bolt right into that car like you think it is... You will need the entire rear end, axles, wheel hubs/bearings, suspension, etc... You pretty much need to get your hands on the entire back half of an AWD car to do it... I only know 2 people who have every successfully converted FWD to AWD on these things... Its that much work and things to change.

Thats ok, we will ask if Thor wants to sell the blue shell with the tranny and stuff. Since hes taking it to the yunk yard.

Well dude, you're may be in luck. I dont have the AWD tranny, but I do have everything else you need to do the swap including the transfer case, driveshaft, differential, rear axles, front axles, rear suspension, brakes and all the braces and such in the back. I would like to get rid of them so if you want to buy them by all means, let me know.

I know somone who has a 90 gsx, 91 gsx, 94 awd talon, 95 gsx, 96 gsx, none of them run.. He's got a couple other cars out there hes doing work for. It garage is a junkyard..

Well, a little late but as promised here is the update. In a nutshell, you have one happy moderator . Heres the story thus far.

So last I left off I had just finished stripping the blue car. Well, I thought we were going to have it junked right away but instead we pulled both the blue and purple cars into the shop. I will further strip the blue car later, but I have been working on the purple car a lot.

When I went to take out the purple car's blown engine, the head was already off along with most of the rest of the top half of the motor. I was going to do it the "tranny comes out with the engine" way so I started to work on the struts in order to take off the axles. The bolts holding the spindle to the strut were so stuck that my breaker bar broke! WTF mate?! So I was like fuck it, I am just going to do it the "leave tranny behind" way. I got 'er pulled on Tuesday night. Last night I came back out but I was tired as fuck so I didnt get much done and came in early. One thing I did do yesterday that was productive was ghetto rig a bezel to hold my guages in the spots the HVAC controls used to be. A dremel works fucking worders on that shit.

So today I went out with a bit more fire and got a lot of shit done. The long block was fully assembled and gotten ready. I figured I wouldnt have much time to do the engine in after assembly of the long block so I was just going to clean the shop. Well, turns out that I had plenty of time and so dropped the motor back in! Shes sitting in there all bolted up pretty and shit Its dope as hell, tomorrow I will get to drive it.! Pics tomorrow guys, I am so fucking tired.

Well guys, I just thought I should give you all an update again. I got the engine in the car on Friday night I believe, got it all put together yesterday. I tried to start it but it wouldnt so I decided to say fuck it for the night. When I went to turn it over it would just go *click* and stop. I thought I might have hooked up the starter wrong so this morning I pulled it off and sure enough, she turned over. After letting it crank a few times it fired right up! I didnt drive it yet, I needed to go pick up my brother and I still have to get the lugs on good yet as well as the hood. I am headed back out there in a few minutes to get it all buttoned up and ready to go. Pics tonight I swear!
