Yours was an XSi cut though Chuck, the SiR ones tend to go for a bit more from what I've seen.

He hasn't mentioned SiR. I think he is talking about a B16a FC, which I would bet would be a XSi FC. Although I could be wrong. I was wrong once....I think it was 1988.......no 89, yeah that's right it was 1989....

What is the difference between the two? I thought it was the same engine, same mounts etc.

XSi is the second generation integra. It usilises the S1 gearbox, not the Y1 which means it is actually worse for theoretical top end. Engine management is *slightly* different apparently. You will not get the SiR bonnet etc needed to fit the B16A, nor will you get the SiR brakes and axles which a little different to the XSi - but not by much from what I've seen using a measuring tape. You will need a custom radiator as both the SIR and XSi designs are different, mostly in mounting points and fan points. Either way, the engine mounts will not bolt into an Aussie 4G Civic or 2G CRX.
Other than that, it's still a do-able swap, as Chuck has demonstrated ![]() '89 eh Chuck... was that when you bought the first front cut? :finger: :finger: |

I may have a SiR bonnet in my garage. It has the hump, is similar to mine except 3 inches too long.
FWIW, I'm running a standard 3 gen radiator and it works fine.

Ummm Chuck... *if* it is one - do you want to sell it? The reason I have a ricey white badge on my bonnet is because the metal underneath has been torn to the shithouse and it will cost me a fortune to get the badge holes rebuilt in steel.

Nah I was wrong. Like I said it is the same as mine. In other words it fits in the front panel. It doesnt bend over between the headlights like yours. I dont know what the bloody thing fits. It is brand new in the box.
