I agree with what you are saying!

What Valentino Balboni says is true: An SE30 is only available with a medium gear ratio, so an SV with short gear ratio is faster than an SE30... but even a VT with short gear ratio is a little faster than an SE30. If you have an SE30, SV, and VT, all with the same medium gear ratio, you see that SE is the fastest, SV second, and VT 3rd! 6.0 is a little slower than an SV, and a little faster than a VT.

I'll use lbs. instead of kg. if you are more farmiliar with it... Quattroroute weighed the old VT and it was 3806 lbs with water, oil, feul and driver.. they weighed '99 SV with water, oil, feul, and driver and it was 3690 lbs... so app. 110 lb. difference between old VT and new SV... a new VT is probably more because of the new interior, bigger wheels, etc. According to your measurements, the '99 VT is app. 150 lb. heavier than the old VT, and 350 lb. heavier than the SV.

But 6.0 weighs more than a VT becasue, although it uses more carbon fiber in the chassis, it is a bigger chassis (2.2 in. wider in the front, 1.8 in. wider in the back). It also has new luxery parts and a new air- conditioning system over that of '99 VT. it has a very small (if at all) hp/weight ratio advantage over VT -- it is a little faster probably only because of lighter wheels and an updated exhaust system.

Diablo GT has 45 more hp than an SV, but on a greater weight (GT is app. 50 kg. or 110 lb. heavier than SV). And GT made only 0.2s better than an SV on the 1/4 mile (11.8s vs. 12.0s). Now a 6.0 has only 20 hp more than a VT, but on greater weight as well. On 1/4 mile a 6.0 would be fore sure less than 0.1s ahead of a VT -- It is a little faster, but no big difference!

I don't know if there is SV with no ABS... Maybe you are thinking of the old 510 hp SV? I don't think that had ABS.

Yes, the Roadster is a little slower than a regular VT.. not only because of the greater weight for a re-enforced chassis, but also becasue of a little worse Cx for an open top.

Ok, i cant argue with you anymore. Im done. Keep reading your magazines and making hypothetical observations.

I tried to shed some light, but once you said a Vt is slightly faster than an Se, i was finished.

Uh, No. I don't think you paid any attention to what I was saying.

An SE30 is much faster than a VT with the same medium gear ratio. But a VT with a short gear ratio is as fast (or even slightly faster) than an SE30 with medium! Gear ratios are important! If you put the same short gear ratio on the SE, well then! SE is obviously faster. But SE is not available with short ratio, unless you install it yourself!

An SV with short ratio is the same fast as a GT with medium ratio! And a GT with short ratio is as fast as an SE Jota with medium! and a VT with short ratio is like an SE with medium! Gear ratios are important!

I put up the test data of these cars for people who are interested.. not for people who want to argue about nothing. First you say SV is faster than the VT.. I said that before you. Then you say SE is faster than VT.. if you pay any attention to what I say, you know I said that already as well! There is nothing to argue about. I am finished as well.

A medium geared Se will still dust a Vt with short gears, all day long. I own the cars, i drive them, i race them. Ive been out with the Lamborghini club out on the track, and i race on the street.

You do theoretical observations. The Se's huge weight advantage over a Vt, will easily compensate for the Vts launch. In a race, they maybe close to 60mph, after that, goodbye VT.

We're talking factory street cars, not custom or race cars.
