Thank you for pointing me in the right direction then. I'll get back to you with more pointless questions that have been asked a thousand times.

Here is a list of the design tweaks

88-89 Civic hatchback backup lights are a rectangle within a red border.
90-91 backup lights are rectangles that run the full height of the taillight.
Stock Si Hatchback has dual exhaust, body colored mirrors, and an open center on the headrest.
Sedan has a slightly larger hood gap.
DX Hatchback, 1991: Bumpers are body colored, but mirrors are not.
Front air dam (bumper) in 88-89 series changed from rectangular opening with body-colored painted line through the middle to 90-91 upside-down trapezoidal opening with a solid black grid.
Sedans and below Si-level hatchbacks in 88-89 had dual-point EFI (resulting in 92hp, 89lb-ft of torque). The Si hatchback and 4wd wagon had multi-point EFI resulting in 108hp and 100 lb-ft of torque.
88-89 corner lamps were solid orange, 90-91 were clear with an orange center area.
The taillamp assembly on sedans changed from (88-89) vertical bars to (90-91) horizontal bars.
1988-89 Instrument panel cowls are short and squarish, rear defroster and hazard buttons are positioned horizontally. 1990-91 models have a taller instrument panel cowl with softer curves, and the two buttons sit vertically.
Civic Si had black side mirrors through 1990, and switched to body- colored mirrors in 1991.
Civic Si's cloth seats were done in a much more subtle black/grey horizontal stripe in 1990 and 1991 than in earlier models.
In 1991, Canada gets a Special Edition:
Same dash, (consol and gages) as the 91 Si
Body coloured dual mirrors and bumpers
Grey cloth interior
1.5l engine, Pg multi port full injection
comes with rear wiper, wheel covers (13 inch), and rear trunk cover, body colored door trim (instead of black)
1990 model CRX Si has rear disk brakes instead of the previous drums. This upgrade includes stronger front calipers, a larger master cylinder and new rear trailing arms and disks.
The '90 model has a slightly stronger cam.

Some more visuals for you

I live in Santa Clarita. [Magic Mountain, work there too!] I plan to get my CRX within the net few weeks. Doing a trade in with my 2000 Nissan Frontier. [Great truck, very dependable. 13000 , yes thousand, miles without an oil change and it still purrs. I just dont like trucks ]

that is where my family is. yes, i worked there too in my high school days. most fun i have ever had. my crew would go around stealing stools from security and breaking into the little shops for day break cheese cake. ahhh the good ol' days.

It wasn't a JDM Si? They all came with DOHC and programmed fuel injection on the doors as they ran the ZC. I've only seen one, but damn they leave the GL etc for dead with the updated interior and body

Then there's B16A4ME's 3rd gen - stock B16A from an XSi 'teg on board, cheapo headers, 2 1/2 exhaust, stripped out to weigh next to nothing and doing 14 seconds flat over the 1/4 mile with no other mods It's funny watching the NA 3rd gen running down V8 Commodores, and turbo cars on the track

i know for sure it's not JDM. it's sticker insanity. look closely at this pic under the molding on the rear door....

something about JDM being RHD is always a give away but you don't know that....

LOL - hey, those stickers must be good for an extra 10bhp at least

Only reason I wondered is there is a 3G hatch around here that transplanted everything from the Si into it.

Oh, BTW Ami - apparently there is a JDM 4WD 4 door with ZC owned by the cousin of one of the other AF members nearby. I'll try and see it and get some pics as it's not the shuttle, but a real 4 door
