Re: WIP-ae86 levin

that FC3S is testing my patience. it just wont cooperate with me. so i'm just gonna
finish this body, and build it as it is now.. anyways, i headed back to the shop last
night and got another FC3S kit for 3USD. i'm going to this over again. i'm not giving
up on my white FC3S.
so here she is now. a blue FC, mismatched wheels, and some bumper tap scratches. im
going to build this one as a typical JDM drift car, scratches and all.

we'll just have to wait for the ressurection of the white FC sometime soon.
and update on my ae86 levin. just got it painted with a layer of blue also.another coat
and i'm fine. just have to fabricate lexan windows.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

Lovin that deep electric blue on the FC and of course the deep-dish rims too.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

I dig the FC's mismatch wheels, but I think I would strip the paint off the front wheels and paint them either silver or black.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

i felt the need to hack at something, and this is the result. a crazy skyline

a R32 skyline pickup. my cars need a service truck anyway, and i dont have a truck kit, so i made one. . only, i dont have a front bumper for this skyline yet. i seem to have lost the bumper and the dash. anyways anyone want to donate a bumper? ill just tint the windows for this build.
and some updates:
my ae86, just a preview, just finished painting the body

the mazda FC, unfortunately, got shelved. i'll just continue it some other time, or make a new one, since i bought a new FC kit.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

update on my levin:
nearing completion. i know the way i painted the front corner lens is wrong, and is not really how the levin lights are, but i like it this way, orange all around.
the color scheme is blue, with dark blue bumpers, spoiler, skirts and side mouldings.

i think i still have to dro the car, don't you think? or the stance is just right?

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

Whoa, good job on the color combo! The only thing I'd add is a black door pull. The drop is just right, in my opinion.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

that ae86 is looking good! It looks like a time attack car. Good job! Makes me want to get back into it after a busy term of school!

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

finally. some updates. i've been working so slow lately because of a lot of things/ busy with work and other stuff. the models are going along...slowly.

ae86 updates:
fianlly have the front completed

made a new grille because i broke the one supplied..

the new rear hatch glass

just gonna finish painting the rear lights and some details and then its complete!!!

the evo 6 update:
managed to paint the top of the car. now to polish it.

the skyline pickup:
the rims that it will use:

wathca think?
rear bumper puttied and being sanded then i found this:

r34 rear bumper.

so my skyline will use a r34 rear bumper now.

also i was kinda bored so i changed the wheels on my honda prelude
from this 17" watanabes

to this, 15" enkeis

group shot

thanks for looking.

Re: WIP-ae86 levin

I like the staples 'holding' the AE86's bumper in place.

i got them from a fujimi group a mitsubishi starion kit. on the fujimi catalog its listed as 15" enkei tarmac wheels and is already discontinued. its avery rare set, so if you find a set, grab it. best chance is for me to rummage around in the kit sale we have here for another set:

here with some 14" panasports, 15" enkeis, and 15" SSR reverse mesh

here's another rare set of wheels:

17" OZ wheels, 17" RS watanabe, 17" impul RS two piece

RS watanabes in three different widths
