If you have built an Enzo, you will so soon discover the fit tolerances on the kit is ZERO. Once you carbon fiber the inside cover, and the side pods in the engine bay,and clear them... this is going to happen. Believe me... the car will RARELY be displayed with the engine cover closed.... not with all the work I put into it. Thanks for all the replies guys!!!! DaveT |

The kit is a superb kit, but the trunk could have fit better, and I think the car could sit a tad bit lower.... but other than that, Tamiya nailed this one.... If I build another one, I think I will grind the inside of the hatch on both sides before paint and it should widen the non-existent tolerances.... DaveT |

Re: COMPLETE: Ferrari FXX
Great looking results.
Regarding the engine cover fitment, I found that the inner fenders and the open vents in the engine cover itself have interferences and need to be shaved down to get the cover to fit properly. |

Re: COMPLETE: Ferrari FXX
Looks great Dave. I just put the engine cover on my Enzo so I know where your at. Nice to see an FXX finished, was starting to think they were unbuildable.
