I can't believe we've made a simple question into a 2 page thread in under an hour

BTW, I need to get myself past 1000...I'm so close!

Hell no! I hate boring message boards.... You clowns (no offense) are what make a board fun to visit - I'm sure you'll notice my idiocities soon .

To tell you guys the truth - I like the Coffee break section (or whatever its called). On the other site I am a regular member of, the lounge area is OK, but there is alot of fighting/arguing/bickering among members. All that among people driving Grampa+Granny cars ! The sites main problem is that there is a competitor site, and the members of that slowly dying site keep coming to cause shit at the new one. So, almost every topic started for enjoyment/relaxation gets torpedo'd.

The nice thing about this board is that owners of different brands of machines can get along for the most part! I haven't heard one person scoff at me for my vehicle choice - as most of us are misunderstood everywhere else. You should read what Mustang owners say about Vic/Monkey owners... Nasty!

On a side note, it does seem like this board is very lacking in technical knowledge, but thats what specific boards are about though. Unless there were many bright minds here on different makes and models, its unlikely that I'd post for mechanical help on this board.

But, don't worry - I plan on being a regular customer around here .

We've got those guys, too. They're just not online all the time like us. They must have real jobs.

Tech: ask texan
Trivia: ask Hudson

Lizard King and TheMan5952 are good muscle car guys, too.

LOL

HAHA! You drive a Marquis! HAHA!! Everybody point and laugh!

Just kidding you dude. You have a point there, though. Other boards always seem to have rivalry about different cars, but most people here seem to just be general car lovers that love everything from Pinto's and Pony's to F50's and Diablos. You'll get people that will joke about what car you own, but it's rare and never really meant seriously.

If you have any question's, feel free to ask any of us mods, we'll be happy to answer. You can even use ICQ, AIM, etc. if you'd like an immediate answer, or just wanna chat sometime.

Have fun!

Well, I think we all have great knowledge on certain things. When I see a question asked about a Ford, I sure as hell will not answer. Why? because I dont know. Now, if you ask a technical question about a Civic, or a G20, I will sya what i know. Why? because I know these cars. I think the longer AF is around, and the bigger it gets. the more model specific people we will get. In turn, this will allow a person to ask for tech hekp on their Yugo.

Very good point. I haven't looked at of the specific car areas, just mainly the ones that I would need - like the Ford/Mercury Lines (I haven't checked out Lincoln yet..) and found them lacking. No biggie though - thats exactly what www.crownvic.org is about. Mainly technical knowledge. Thats what I was talking about with specific knowledge (for my brand anyways).

Well, if you think any of those guys would prefer a bigger, more diverse site to run around in, please politey invite them over to play.

AF is good that way, but for real technical stuff it's usually best to seek out car specific sites. Check out www.carlynx.com, one of our partners, if you want info on a specific car.
