Re: Some more food for thought...

update...

got the new crossmember in the car. got the motor all cleaned up, engine bay all cleaned up, put the new ACT 6 puck clutch on the motor...

...go to find out RNDfactory didnt send me the fucking clutch fork or the clutch solenoid....so finally the bolts and fork came in yesterday....

...however im ordering a new solenoid from Toyota on RND's bill...thank god there covering that.

THEN...when i thought everything was all fine and dandy...

i go to put the shifter extension on the tranny, i put it on, and i only got 2 gears? Im like WTF? 3rd and 4th. thats it.

...so after a day of fucking with it, i say im done with it for the day.

next day i come out and say hey let see if i can get teh stock setup to work...put it on, tranny works great all 5 gears and reverse is there again. so i inspect the extension that Tech2 sent me...its 1/6th" to short. so the shifter was rubbing on the housing not allowing me to actuate the other gears. so i had to send that back.

however brighter days are hopefully coming as my wiring harness and the new shifter extension should be hear as of this coming week...so hopefully i can have the motor in and running next week...we shall see..

I'll post pics of the swap then...

~Nick

Re: Some more food for thought...

Meh, I wouldn't dick with that in an S13.

I think the S14s would be better suited since they naturally plow less, S13s need all the help you can get.

but whatever.

Correct, i could have done it at the shop, however we would have to wait before we could work on it, as we have ALOT of buggies to be pumping out right now...

...and never fear i'll take pics once the motor starts going in.
