Re: AC knob does work, but the air is coming only through win and under
Would the HVAC problem also cause the rear defogger not to work?
Thanks |

Another satisfied Automotive Forums member. Thanks for the input on this topic. I stumbled upon this post and it described my problem exactly on my 1996 Lumina. With the location of the "vacuum ball" reservoir called out so precisely, I was able to locate and repair the broken line. All A/C, Heat, Vent and Defrost controls work as commanded. Thanks Again.

Re: AC knob does work, but the air is coming only through win and under
yes I had the same problem my AC and heater was only working in the window and Below. After reading what many people posted about the broken vacuum line. I was able to fix the vacuum line and regain full vent controls. Yes what many people posted the line is very hard to find so is the vacuum Reservoir Ball it was much easier to partially disabled the wheel splash guard. Once I removed the splash guard I was able to find the reservoir ball which led to the broken line. I replaced the hard plastic line with rubber tubing as many others had posted problem solved thank you so much. Also as one person posted the vacuum Reservoir ball is basically located behind the driver side headlight.
