Actually I first learned to drive a standard tranny when I was 14 in an Eclipse.

My friends picked up an '05 330ci ZHP in the middle of last year. He let me drive it immediately. So I have some decent learning experience.

I picked the car up on a Thursday, and took Friday off to drive over to my parents neighborhood and learn it really well. It never happened. I ran errands, got stuck in traffic all the way there. By the time I showed my moms friend and got done with dinner I was exhausted.

Today it stormed and sat in the worst traffic thus far. When you're forced to get better, you learn quicker.

Turtle: That's actually the one thing I've always been told is that if you can get going with just the clutch you got the hang of it. That's all I do really. Funny thing is I left the dealer lot perfectly. It was as smooth as an auto....it didn't last too long though.

Thanks again for the compliments guys. I'm just happy to finally have something that's mine again. It seems to blend in pretty well, and not too many seem to pay much attention, which I would prefer. I know the G & Z guys are though. I just haven't found the ones who really want to act a fool yet.

Here's another pic I think looks cool.

AH skeet skeet skeet...

Man if I had the money....

Hey, looking at that latest pic reminded me of something you should definitely get for a car like that. Get some Lamin-X tint covers for the headlights and taillights. I just got some in Optic Blue for my headlights and damn its nice. You can get them in clear or smoked too. They're also supposed to protect from chipping, stress cracking, oxidation, etc. One of of those cheap mods that you'd be kicking yourself if something was to happen.

Edit: I'll change my sig to show mine :]

Although I have a problem with all, yes all German cars the Bmw coupés look real good and the handling/performance is probably great on this particular one. But did you have to pick a white one?

Sure did!

It's one of those differences between Europe and the U.S. Over there white isn't deemed a good color choice. Here though, white is a classy color. It really looks 10x greater in person. BMW has one of the best whites available.

...now if only I could get a chance to wash it.

Re: The New Baby is Here!

Word to the wise to my German car owners:

If you buy an Eisenmann racing exhaust for your car you DO NOT need to cut the resonator out as well. I didn't think the Eisenmann was loud enough at first so I just cut the resonator out. Holy shit, it's a little over the top.......but I love it.

In all seriousness, Texas, Eisenmann exhaust FTW.

I've thought about it, and it's a highly recommended brand on e90post. We'll see though, it'll be a while before I get exhaust. I'm gonna try and leave the tweaking for after I have another car to drive daily. Plus, Eisenmann hasn't posted any videos of the sound it produces for the car. I really want to get tips though. Just to fill up the bumper exhaust cut outs.

You have any vids or sound clips of you car? I'd love to hear it.

Not yet. I'm gonna take some video this weekend hopefully if I can find a digital camera.

Mine won't be the best to go off of though. After cutting out the resonator its ungodly loud right now. Not something you'd expect to hear out of a Merc.
