Re: 3.4 L v6 camaro looking to upgrade..
a 3.4 camaro is better to mod then a 1.9 sohc saturn sl1, but i'd just throw in a 350. i just sold my old short block for 250.00 bucks. thats how cheap you can get into a 350.

Re: 3.4 L v6 camaro looking to upgrade..
even thought it would be ugly at first you should get pvp pipe from the hardware store. the 200$ intakes are a waiste in my opinion. its a proven fact that pvp pr pvc w/e its called dissipates heat more efficiently than aluminum. just paint it or something and itll be alot better. biggest thing u can do is start tearing out stuff you dont need in the car. my first was the back seats. WHO'S GONNA FIT BACK THERE ANYWAYS ! lol. besides that def do the exhaust upgrade and port n polish ur intake and exaust manifold. if you have money get and upgrade on your intake and exaust valves. pulleys n w/e else u want. just watch our cus u might need to watch ur injectors and fuel pump.

Hold up, you're saying that pvc piping dissipates/transfers heat better than aluminium? right..

Re: 3.4 L v6 camaro looking to upgrade..
pyroman, dissapation of heat means that it TRANSFERS heat better. i.e. aluminum, which will heat up, DISSAPATES heat better. that is bad for intakes, since that means it will get heatsoaked.. however. PVC pipes should never ever be used in the engine compartment.. at least if its going to get decently warm. PVC pipes SHRINK when they are heated.. if they dont melt first. the plastics used in cars are NOT pvc.. im sure you can make an intake that would work w. pvc.. but they arent made to be smooth internally. a pvc pipe with fittings/etc would create some major turbulence in the intake.., i think? well, whatever works i guess.. but dont use PVC where its gonna get hot (i tried this...)
