Re: HLJ - parcel didnīt arrive after 3 months - your experience??

The main problem can be the local Post Offices, take the UK for instance, an "Airmail" parcel sent out is not classed as lost until 25 days has passed. If customers don't chose a shipping option with tracking which "SAL" and "Airmail" don't have, the stores can't do anything to help apart from wait the 25 days then resend or refund.
Customers don't want to pay more for shipping (with tracking) just incase it get lost as most don't, I find 99.8% of my shipment get there in a few days (3-10 days) but some do go missing for a longer time, and arrive in the end.
Those that don't usually come back to us (return to sender) as customer has given the wrong address, like missing out the House number, etc or moved house even.

Re: HLJ - parcel didnīt arrive after 3 months - your experience??

Personally, I have never had a bad experience with HLJ, but I always ship via EMS. It can be quite pricey but, when the shipping notification is sent, I usually get my parcel within 4 to 6 days of the shipping notice.

Never had the experience with non-arriving parcels.
Never had problems with them.
Well except with the dutch custum service, who nearly always charge
me tax with HLJ parcels... and keep it for 2 extra weeks to do so...

Re: HLJ - parcel didnīt arrive after 3 months - your experience??

So far I haven't had a problem with them. I have ordered a few times in the past 2 months and I have gotten everything. I have one more package on the way I hope that I don't start having problems now.

Re: HLJ - parcel didnīt arrive after 3 months - your experience??

Hi,
something new in this affair:

Hlj mailed, that my friend should mail not before April, if the parcel shouldnīt arrive. Then they think about sending the items again -if available- or
refunding costs.

Fantastic, I donīt think the kits will appear and according to Murpheyīs Law the kits wonīt be available at the beginning of April. So, lots of trouble an waiting for 6 months for kits invane.

This pretty much sums up my experience with HLJ. I used SAL once and didn't have a problem, but waiting was agonizing (a little more than a month). I did get a notice once that not all items were in stock. They informed my girlfriend (she was ordering that one particular time) what was and wasn't available. I had her keep what was available and removed the rest, and added a few other things. 2 days later, notice was sent that the package was shipped, 4 days after that, it was at her doorstep (San Diego, California...USA )

Re: HLJ - parcel didnīt arrive after 3 months - your experience??

I used SAL for a kit that I ordered and was sent a notification of shipment in late November 2006. I contacted them late January of 2007 notifiying them that I have yet to receive my package.

HLJ customer service asked me to be patient and I waited until the last week of February. At that time, I was ready to write them again when in comes the package the next day. It took almost three months exactly for me to receive my package.

From my past experience, I like HLJ's service. They always replace missing or broken parts quickly. Something that I'll always praise HLJ for.

However, when it comes to shipping, especially with SAL, I don't think it really is HLJ's fault. Everyone gets a bit peeved with shipping times and that reflects negatively for HLJ - even if they have no control over it.

If I was HLJ, I would eliminate the SAL shipping option completely as it unfairly reflects poorly on HLJ's service.
