Re: hot motor,cold radiator,no heat

i have replaced the head gasket, waterpump, thermostat, rad hoses and the rad cap.still had a problem...until i replaced the coolant temp sensor.it is still running a little over half on the temp guage but much better than it has been.i ran it in the driveway for half an hour and then took it for a driveand the temp never really went past half way.it did a little but not much.mabey this is the problem with your car.

Cool Same problem, easy fix.

I have a 94 lumina euro and this winter it was @#$^&#$% cold and I had the SAME symptoms you describe- no fans, high temp, no heat!
I tried alot of the stuff you mentioned- temp sensor, etc. nada
One day I got mad and ripped out the heating/ac control module (little box-controls on the dash where you push the buttons to make it warm) and got another lil box at my local junkyard for a few bucks, popped it in, and presto, it was fixed, no overheating, fans worked, and it was bloody easy.
Wish I tried it sooner.

Question Re: hot motor, cold radiator,no heat

Can Someone please tell me how to get to the blower fan under ythe dash, under the glove compartment on a 1997 chevrolet lumina? It seems to have gotten leaves in the blower, and is noisy and annoying. thank you for your help.
