Re: foreign exchange

Scotland?

Thats like a mini-america (no offense to Scottish... or Americans). I mean, I would like to experience an absolutely different place and culture, such as China, Egypt, or South Africa. It would be alot tougher, but it would also be very interesting and educational to see how people live in completely different cultures.

Check if your school offers trips to India, India has some very reputable engineering and tech schools such as the IIT (India Institute of Technology) schools.

Put a hold on rowing, and give Cricket a try.

Re: foreign exchange

haha well i'd probably try some stuff, but seeing as how i'm on the university rowing team, i don't think i'll just stop for a year. not to mention they've probably got a decent program plus it's somewhere different to row. i mean i love rowing but i'd like to see some different scenery every once in a while.

and as for completely different clutures, i just want something different, not completely different where it'll take a while to adjust. i'm only there for 8 months or so so it won't be very long. plus, i'll probably be in the military after university so i'll be going around, and i want to do some traveling after that before i get into a career, so i've got plenty of time to emerse myself in other cultures, right now i just want something that isn't like home but something i can get used to quickly.
