Re: New Showroom for London Supercar Dealer inc McLaren F1

Right first the bad news! Whilst tonight was great there were about 100 people there so photography was 1) very difficult 2) not really the done thing 3) the car was tight up against the corner and not very accessible.Plus my camera was malfunctioning!! so im afraid the pictures are few, and of low quality
But the good news is i arranged to go back another time to get some better pictures, plus a great night was had by all, It was great to meet hurstg01 and i spent about 15 minutes talking to Martin Brundle of F1 ITV commentary fame (ex F1 driver) Youll be glad to know he loves the F1, although he said he'd love to buy a Veyron!! LOL
anyway here are my pictures as they are, Hurstg01 also took a few and im sure they will be up soon.Enjoy!

Don't be so rough on yourself. They are far better than the shots most of us took of #27R tonight. Again - sharing them is greatly appreciated here.

When you do go back - if possible, some shots of the interior and what the engine compartment looks like would be nice, assuming they are willing to accommodate those sorts of requests.

It would also be good to hear about that car's ownership history since it was confiscated from James Munroe. I know it appeared at the Brooks Auction at Goodwood in 2000, and I think that it may have ended up with David Clark after that, but the rest of the details are unknown to me until it appeared in Cars International's posession back in June of 2005.

Re: New Showroom for London Supercar Dealer inc McLaren F1

It was good to meet with Countachal. He is right about the pics - It didnt seem the right environment to enquire heavily about the cars as it was like an 'old boys club' there, alot of gentleman racers and racers from the 60's and 70's (Alain de Cadenet was one, broken foot and all), but it was good to see Eddie Jordan rip the pi$$ out of Martin Brundle, Tony Jardine was his normal self and even a celebrity chef turned up (but didnt cook anything)

#27R looked great in orange next to Jean Alesi's F1 Ferrari, a Bizzarini, a Ferrari Dino and Giancarlo Fisichellas F1 car, it was a shame it was tucked away and we couldnt get decent shots, but i'll pop my shots up tonight when I get in from work (got back at about 11pm last night, on a work night and little Thomas decided he wanted to play at 2am-3am this morning, so didnt really have the time to sleep let alone host pictures....)

more to come............

Serioulsy, I have a thing to ask you : can you know next time if it is possible to enter in the showroom. It's very important for me, I go to London on april 28th. Thanks if you can ask

I am fairly sure you can just turn up and request it - they seemed fairly accomodating last night, so long as you dont turn into a stalker they should be fine to you

Hello Hurstg01,

It would be very cool to see Gumball and #27R on april 28th and then go back in England to see GT90s Revival on may 5th !!!!

Thanks a lot, I may send an email to be sure they are open.

Phil
