Bah, 18mpg overall. Shell loves me.

I can get 22-23 mpg on the highway.

Most of the nitro isn't even burned - it's used to cool the engine (hence those long flames that come out of the pipes). For every gallon of fuel consumed, it's fair to say that less than 15% of it actually makes power.

Re: Anyone with a 350...whats ur gas mileage?

MPG comes down to how you drive a car in most cases. Two different people with the same exact car will probably not get the same avg mpg.

Besides the difference between the average lead foot and some grandma other things factor in. If you let it sit and idle a lot or spend a lot of time sitting at stop lights you can watch on a digi dash the avg mpg drop a tenth at a time in a matter of minutes. If you always catch the 8 o'clock train your destined to have bad gas mileage. If you drive down the same road every day and it has a few of those mile long hills, this also effects fuel ecomomy. Even the slightest upgrade pitch on the road can affect your MPG by 15 on the highway in od. Ive noticed this with my dash set on instant economy.

Dont forget axle gearing also makes a difference. Compare your car to other cars with the same rear axle. Going down a flat level surface highway in OD with the cruise set what does it get. I bet yours gets around the same as everybody elses 350 with the same setup.

Re: Anyone with a 350...whats ur gas mileage?

Well I got about 13 mpg this week...and i'm pretty sure I was on the gas more often, drifting around turns and such. But I think what's killing me is the idle time...its winter so I let the car warm up for a good 20 minutes in the morning before work and before I leave work....I only did that once or twice this week, so maybe that's where its all going.
