Civic SI's are really weak belive me. My buddy has one and we decided to race on the highway at night. Well lets say, when we I was doing about 115 MPH, he was about 4 car lengths behind me. I know he has intake and exhaust, but his rice rocket could not keep up with our bad boys.

Irvine78...Nice ride, but why didnt you get an SE with a stick??

I know, everyones different, but it would seem to be the logical choice.

why? so i can get a sunroof, stock 17s, and nice stereo for $6000 more?
nah~~~~~......

if the SEs had different and better engines, i'd have seriously considered buying one. but the fact is, all Maximas have the exact same engine, same tranny(no special tranny for 00-01 SEs), and almost identical suspension except for the 'stiffer' stock bushings on the SEs....

i knew i was going to do alot of stuff on my own, so i opted not to go for the fully loaded SE....plus, i got a really really good deal on my car..

Stillen's charging you $351 retail price for the touring lip. i didn't have to pay because i got the lip for free(they needed a test car to take picture of the front lip...check out the Stillen's website under styling)....

install....well, because of my pearl color, it was just a bit more than i expected...they wanted $200 for paint and install...for non pearl colors, it's going to be around $100-$150 depending on a shop...

I just thought you might like the 5 speed on the SE, but it is a little to pricey, I agree. The 5 speed stick should be available across the line. A very nice car, either way.

I've raced several si's and one yesterday. Most of these cars were stockers but some were modded. On every occasion I smoked them, no prob. However I have a well modded n/a 5-spd.

I thought you needed to get the SE for the stick.

That considered, the GXE is better, especially if you mod it, like you have.
