Re: 1993 3.2 V6 Engine Trouble

Well... Replaced the fuel, And after 5 min of trying SHE STARTS for the first tim in 3 months. then she dies 5 minutes later. no more starting again, Now i am down to Computer, or possibly the fuel pump, I mean the pump works i can hear it, and the car does start now and then, but if i floor it Bam it sputters and dies... fuel pump is an easy 900 bucks i dont have. computer is 300 i really wish i knew what was wrong...it wants to start so badly.

Re: 1993 3.2 V6 Engine Trouble

Get a fuel pressure tester and check the pressure when you get it started at idle it should be around 25 to 30 psi. Cost 40 to 50 bucks for fuel pressure tester, watch the gauge while it is running to see if it starts to fall off . Rev it up by hand and see if it rises, if it falls off and engine dies I would say fuel pump. but 900 is high then the pump runs around 150 or so. If it dies and will not restart check pressure will trying to crank it should still be the same as stated above . After that I would check for spark while starting.

Re: 1993 3.2 V6 Engine Trouble

I know heat can effect electronics , but I have no idea even where to start with a symptom like that may be ignition coils , ecm , relays for ignition and fuel systems . A isuzu tech may be your only help .
