Hi,

looks convincing with the opened doors / engine cover, engine itself and decent weathering -- like the real thing

Absolutely flawless build and perfect execution. My Stratos is toy-like compared to this one...

Guys,

many, many thanks for all your comments, been looking for an embarrased smiley to add but cant find one! I feel it is only fair that I put my WIPs on here as I have learnt so much from following others on here and over at F1m.

yeah, I was a little dissapointed with this I agree, right now I am trying to split the decal and widen the gaps a little with the help of Microsol - it is a pain but should improve it. I even thought of spraying this section but I thought that masking would be even harder than try to apply the decal.

Adam, I was lucky enough to find one on ebay, there is a Studio 27 'safari' version currently available at both MMH and HLJ, this will give you a few decent etched upgrades for other versions of the Stratos if you cant find the original version.

thanks again to one and all, Lotus 25 coming soon!

Sean

Superb quality build again.

I have had this kit for 1 year and been too scared to start it.

Your built is great and stunning. The openable doors and engine cover makes it looking perfect! Waiting for your next built

You're luky
I also tried on E-bay, but there wasn't any Monte P.E.
It seems I found an austrian shop wher They have some for the Monte version...
The front grill, side grills, rally plates, license plates what I need vey much and they differnt on the Safari version, so I must buy the Monte version!

I have a solution:
Try with Mr Mark Softer, then cut the decal above the holes.
It will fit on the shapes, but it won't cover the grills with 100%!
So you have to paint a litle with brush. The Revell green color(I don't know the number) is perfectly the same tone, so it's great for painting the grill!

Mine turned out perfect!

Good luck for the reparation!
