Re: help, ideas for hubby

Yeah, sounds like it was an early x-mas present to me too.

Other than sex-related gifts (which are always a plus), car parts are always nice, assuming hes into playing with his car (tint, exhuast work, speakers/cd player, etc). Umm... otherwise nifty electronics such as LCD screens are fun too.

Re: help, ideas for hubby

depending on your budget, i'd go with either an HDTV or a motorcycle or 4 wheeler.

i seriously doubt it.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that she wants to do something nice again for him in her own personal need to gratify the person she loves. hmmm.

really, i could list off tons of things that i would LOVE for christmas, but thats me, i'm not your husband.
there has to be something that he has always wanted.
it doesnt even have to be a thing
a nice weeklong trip to the BVI would be nice.
the beaches there are amazing, and, and there are lots of nice places to go.

have fun whatever you do.

U miss the point I am trying to make. A last year's gift, however nice or expensive, is THAT year's gift, and should not drive [pun certainly intended] anyone to reciprocate in kind. That gift was given, for love or whatever. That gift was THEN, this is now. Stay current, give him something, for sure, but to use the car as a benchmark for this year is a fallacy that so many people trip into.

^^ I reckon context clues aren't your strong point. Karmacae would have to confirm but I'm pretty certain she meant the car was an early x-mas gift for THIS YEAR. So take a chill pill dude...

Re: help, ideas for hubby

well, i guess i'm the only one who thinks a trip would be nice.

if you're buying gifts, i'll take a 383 stroker with a bullitproof transmission behind it.
17" impala SS wheels
a new paint job
3" lowering springs
stiffer sway bar in the front
sway bar kit in the back
i'll take a harley 883 sportster low
and a trip to jamaica
...

the list goes forever.

you must know what he is into...
(unless this thread is dead and she isnt ever going to read this or reply... oh no. the horror)

Re: help, ideas for hubby

buy him a beater, and an admission into a demolition derby. and 100 beers, exactly... exactly 100.

EDIT:
actually, seriously, find a place that has a very wide assortment of beer, maybe buy him like 2 or 3 of the types he likes (lager, ale, american, import, etc.)

+ a nice wristwatch

My suggestion, an Omega Seamaster Professional. A pre-owned automatic version, in excellent condition (with all papers), can be had for ~$1K. Pre-owned quartz versions can be bought for ~$800.

Left pic is of the GMT version, Right is the regular version.

Its the watch Bond wears.
