It is my understanding that he was the only previous owner of this car.

Re: Crossthread - Recent F1 purchase

The owners other cars and the person who took the pics should be a clue for informed supercar fans

I never said he was on the forum. I said he was familiar with it. He may be here lurking but is none of the characters you suppose.

Re: Crossthread - Recent F1 purchase

I think its clear by now that neither me or Erik is going to come out and say who the new owner is. His name is out there and there was a big clue just given. Do a little digging and you'll come up with him

Re: Crossthread - Recent F1 purchase

Ok, guys, this didn’t take too long. The new owner of #036 is named Daniel Heard. He is an avid Ferrari collector and owns one of two black F50s in the US.

Like Chris said, the clues are there. Ferrari fanatics aren't a bad source of info either: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...=106626&page=8

Btw, the unblurred plate reads: GE 385 I66 (or maybe GE 385 166)

Some (such as myself) would consider what you have done here to be higly offensive. Have you considered that the owner may enjoy his privacy? Or the idea that you did research on the internet to bring his name and location to light is obnoxious and rude? Have you considered the fact that I blurred license plates in these photos for a reason?

I hate to point fingers, but you are acting out the role of the person who makes it difficult for me as the photographer of all of the photos in this thread to continue posting them on the internet. It is not your right to decide whether or not someone else wants their private personal information published in a public place. It is shameful that you cannot respect my wishes or the wishes of others in blurring out that license plate. I would love to continue sharing images of this car with internet car enthusiasts such as many of you on this forum, but in less than a week from the delivery of this car to its owner you have proven why I cannot.

Shameful.
