What is the difference between those intake kits that say short pipe verse those that don't?

performance wise...short intake pipes will just suck in better and cleaner air other than the stock air box. the longer intake pipe that extends below the stock air box will suck in "colder" air compared to the short intake pipe that is surrounded by the heat in the engine...something like that....

The second one says that it does not require modification. In an earlier reply someone said that they had to use a dremel. I would prefer not to modify if possible Thanks
