Re: Corsica dies after idling, cools then restarts

I never thought to ask and should have. It this a 6 cylinder motor or a 4 cylinder? What size is it if it is a 6 cyl? If you heard nothing from the tank it is a good bet your pump is toast. If your book shows it you might tap on the relay, which should be on the firewall.

Re: Corsica dies after idling, cools then restarts

I just looked into my book (GM Service manual for 95 model) and on a 4 cylinder engine I am at a loss to tell you a lot. It seems to show a special adapter hose assy. that connects into your fuel hose where your quick-connect type connectors are, so you may NOT have a fuel test port after all if you do indeed have a 4 cylinder. If this is so I am sorry, should have asked first what you had. I only had one 2.2 and never had to work with it much... Maybe someone can confirm this, but I am pretty sure I am right. You might be able to borrow the adapter, maybe ask local parts place about it. It mentions the test wire is on the driver's side of the car, near the strut tower on the 95. If I can find more information I will pass it along...
