I'm trying to remember exactly what I did, but basically my Scag had a droopy butt The front part of the chassis was fitting well, but I was dumbfounded how to glue the rear portion as it mated to the lower rear bumper without damaging the model, it would have taken one hell of a clamp to keep it in place. It sagged a good 1/4", and seemed like it was the lip around the package shelf that was the problem. I shaved it down, but then found that gluing some of the inner upright stuff on the chassis above the transaxle to the back portion of the tub in the seat area, straightened out the chassis droop and then the chassis dropped in place just fine. So I may not have needed to work w/the package shelf after all. Didn't matter, it's invisible inside but like it's been said, seems like most of these models suffer from a warped chassis. That seemed to be my only assembly problem w/the kit. Don't ask about my myriad paint/bodywork problems that were all my own fault. That was another nightmare for another day. Or actually more like 6 months

Wish it were a Tamiya kit, then we'd have a nice straight diecast chassis for everyone to gripe over

Yeah, the other day I just forced the body and chassis together with super glue. it seemed to work, though some glue seeped through. I've since taken it apart and I'm cleaning up the mess. Its not too bad. Thanks for the advice!
