As for the mint green and 17" rims; did you see a big sign next to it that said 'makes you go faster?' Because i dont think i did. Just letting you know buddy.

yo, man, chill, okay, your neon's fast. It's run's 11's. Sure. But, still, you don't get it. This is the chevy forum. The neon is made by Dodge, bro. Dodge is a chrysler corp. Chevy is a Gm corp. You are on the opposite side of the forum. The only thing your gonna get by posting that here is a flaming only chevy drivers are capable of giving.

Hey, Neon guy.. I support you all the way.. I love these DaimlerChrysler cars.. They rule.. Atleast our motors wont die in about a month.. I got a cadie a while back and after I got it, it had a bad motor.. Then I replaced it then to figure out that that was a loss a time.. Oh, and another friend a mine has a pontiac and had to replace the motor on it.. All these Chevy Gm cars always need that motor work done. AND, in a stock car, I smoked a Camero Iroc.. A Caddie.. Stupid white boy.. what an idiot.. Thought he was quick.. HA!!!! that aint for sure.. Well, yeah.. Keep it up with the car and im me sumtime so I can get some info on your car that I can use on mine..

the last laugh

You know what.... who gives a flying f#*k what your neon runs?! Guys like you make me laugh. You have no base for your argument as you are using a modified dodge. Just because you got your car decked out doesn't mean that the neon nameplate is better than the cavalier. If we were to go by your logic, then reputable magazines like motor trend, car and driver would be completely wrong. Remember, they compare stock vehicles. And from all accounts since 95, the neon has not surpassed the cavalier in performance, reliablilty and MOST CERTAINLY resale value. Don't tell me that any neon out there is better than a cav because they're not. Every year since that toilet of a vehicle came out in 95, the cav has been a better seller. Neon's are junk. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. Junk. Get over it. Oh yeah, one more thing. How much did you dump into your neon to get it that fast?? Please tell me so that I can chuckle quietly along with all of the other cavy owners in this forum.

I think this thread has gotten a bit out of hand. Being proud of your ride is one thing. Bragging and gloating is something else completly.

DOHcNEON, be humble and respect everyone on these forums, or you will be banned again. Posting a thread about neons in a Chevy forum was just asking for a flame war. It serves no other purpose.

Hey, yo.. I would rather have a Neon over any Chevy PERIOD!!!! Look Chevys are just not trustworthy.. My friend who owns a new olds already has a leak in the radiator... He is also a mechanic that is specialised in Chevy.. Maybe cause he knew that is where the real money was in.. They just arent trustworthy.. Get a real car..

huh?

Get a real car!? So now you are telling me that chrysler products are more reliable?! That is really a joke. Oh yeah, that's right, chrysler is the #3 automaker...... yes #3. What is GM??? Remind me again. So i guess that everyone buys GMs because they are soooo unreliable. Yeah, that logic makes sense. Oh, yeah... i love your supporting arguments too. A friend of yours has a new olds and it has a hole in the radiator. Well, i guess that blows everything for GM. Yup, the whole GM line is garbage because one olds has a problem. Nice supporting argument. Notice that I have 2 cars. No thats not because I want to pay for 2, its because one (88Z) has long been paid for and still runs great. Yeah, its still running on the orginal motor with 170K. I'm sure that there's an arsenal of people here who can say exactly the same as me on that one. And the funny thing is that none of those people own dodges. Now don't get me wrong. I'd rather buy anything american (even dodge) over some rice burner, but when it comes to GM versus Chrysler/Dodge, I'm sorry but Chrysler just doesn't cut it. Dodge does have some pretty sweet cars, but when were comparing the neon to the cavalier (especially a Z24) the cavalier unquestionably superior. Were talking about a car that is over 2 decades in production. Think about that one for a sec. The continual best selling car of the biggest automotive company on this friggin planet. Look at my past 2 sentences and just hang your head in shame. God neons are so lame. I can remember when they first came out. Remember those cheesy comercials... "i'm the neon" "HI!!" That just makes me want to rush right out and buy one.

ok guys get over it. I dont care what you guys think. I just know i am well respected guy in the street racing world in my hometown. not only because i have a fast but because i know my stuff. I also repsect anyone who has put time and money into any car. I really dont care if there car is consider rice or some well done nissan skyline. I really dont care. AS for being humble, i am humble i have respect for everyone...until they disrespect me. my whole family drive chevys . My mom owns a 69 chevelle, a 2001 impala. My dad drives a 2000 chevy 2500Hd. my sis drives a z24 cavy. My grandma drives a monte carlo. I have an 88 cavalier, still running strong with 150,000+ miles on it. and of course a 98 dodge neon. i never wanted to cause any kind of trouble here. Just informing you on my car. period. I dont how saying that chevys are better thatn anything. i didnt start that. My last post was about 2 months ago i dont know where this came from, frankly i dont care. Pics, go to the first page of this thread and click the link for my timeslip and a pic of my engine. of course whoever has the money to make their car fast they can do it. and for the amount of money ( in parts only, i do the work myself) they could make anycar run 11s. No problem. Hopefully this doesnt cause anymore problems because fighting on the internet is like the special olympics.. even if you win your still retarded. so on that note. peace.

Well, if you want argumentative... I will give it to you.. Not just one, but i had a Caddie, HAD!!!! I had to replace the motor in it cause it was bad... What a waste a time that was.. THe new one did work.. Well, the motor worked kinda well, but everything else went bad on it.. Then to top my personal experience... I have a friend that has a Pontiac, they had to do the same.. Again, what a waste a time.. Their Corsica runs needs a lot of engine work.. Its not a worth it car.. Everything is goin bad and they are goin broke to fix it.. Both a the cars.. AND, The car couldnt even match to a Ford Festiva... Yeah, a Ford Festiva.. Yeah, Maybe everyone gets Chevy cause they dont know bout it yet but after a while MOST ChevyGM cars will need to replace the engine.. OH, and the guy talkin bout C and D.. Motor Trend and so on.. Well, scientist who are surveying everything are biased no matter what... SOOOOO, what I am sayin is that they could be biased too.. BUT, I will give props to the Chev.. Its real easy to work on and find parts... Unlike some Chrysler cars.. Oh, sumtin that is worth it is the new Neon.. Since you were talkin bout the Z28or whatever, i am gonna pull out the Neon SRT 4... It will smoke the S2000 to what Car and Driver says.. I think that would be the ultimate "lil" car ever and its i think a lil under 20, but dont quote me.. i dont remember... It may be more..

This could have been a decent discussion, but it has just turned into a flame war. I asked that the flaming be kept down, but I see no one bothered to read my post.

If you dont like chevy's, thats fine. No need to come in here and make a scene about it. Go discuss this somewhere else...
