It actually wasn't supposed to look the same as a GT500, the production crew decided it should look like a modified GT500. So they did several things, including adding those sweet custom fog lights. They actually 10 or 12 or something, some were only half the car and the rest was cameras, some were set up for top speed, some for acceleration, some for tire spinning, and some for drifting and stunt driving. They made one last one to be a driver for the movie's director, so he actually owns and drives the Eleanor we all know and love.
