Re: Straight pipe

kewl,, what about your MAF , MAP, ECT and EGR, did you have to mod the wiring harness ? does it make the motor any taller or is it the same ?

Re: Straight pipe

i got the headers from pat(shweppe) thnk you sir and the valve covers from some guy on aleromod.

the portwed upper is already on aswell as the throttle body

all i need left are my heades, ported lower, and cam, dhp powertunner, and the mildly built 4t45e with lsd

for the MAF i have the PRO M maf caliberated for the CAI.

i also want to get the cat back from pacesetter exhaust. its for the grand am but it fits with minor mods.

next on the list is MMS stage 2 cam and heads

Re: Straight pipe

Hmm, didn't know this thread was still going.. I'll take a set of those sweet looking headers, however

Everything was the same as the 3100 intake, provided you use the right year model. The MAF stays in the intake tube, and the MAP, ECT and EGR all bolted to the stock locations.

Sorta, the delta 40 isn't too bad. I have it in the stock location with a turn-down and it's pretty tame cruising, and at WTFO, I can still hear my Ractive air filter. I'm going to try a diff. muffler soon. Either the flowmaster hushpower, magnaflow or the holley afterburner..

Re: Straight pipe

I took off the resinator and cat on my car, and added a deltaflow flowmaster exhaust. My Malibu aounds like a v8 Muscle Car but it doesnt have that much power to it. I then decided to add on a Magnaflow hi-flow cat, and I got a lot of the power back, since it build up more pressure. Dont plan on removing ur cat if you dont know anyone who will pass ur emmissions, because it doesnt pass at all
