Re: My online gallery now up come look please!

That is deffinitly some very nice stuff, certinaly shows you have put some thought into your photos.

How do you find working 2 systems together, the Nikon and the Canon?

Re: My online gallery now up come look please!

Im glad you asked that Moppie, well origanlly I have been a proud user of hte Nikon cameras since I was 15, apparently I have heard hte reputation of how Canon was able to make jsut as good cameras as the nikons were for a little cheaper price, but overall the quality of a Nikon is better, canon quality is a little cheaper adn I have had to bring in my Canon for 2 repairs on the shutter sinces its cheaply made and have spent 200 dollars having to fix the Canon 30D I use while as my film Nikon F3 and my digital SLR D50 I have never had to bring them in for fixing, overall Nikon is still on top but I use the Canon more for everyday use. If you are all wondering I am actualy now and undergrad at San Jose State University majoring in Photography and was lannign to get my masters because I was hoping one day I can run a small business in photography or teach it at a high school or college.

Re: My online gallery now up come look please!

Interesting view point, I think there is nothing between them in terms of build quality anymore, or optical quality. Iv heard just as many storys about failed parts and expensive repairs from both brands, and while the older Nikon glass is VERY good, the new L series glass from Canon is just as good. There are clearly some differences at different focal lengths, but over all, there isn't any noticable differnce with out getting into very serious pixel peeping and scientific comparisons.
Canon did however lead the way when SLR's first went Digital, producing considerably better cameras and sensors up untill Nikons current range that is. Then the gap closed, and while Canon still shows less noise at high ISO the difference is small.

However, both systems have quite different control interfaces, that was more what I was asking about, do you find swapping between the systems sometimes confuses you?

Re: My online gallery now up come look please!

Not really, my teacher back in high school basically showed us how to use different interfaces of hte cameras becuasse we used canon most of hte time but isnce I had a nikon, I had to go back and forth until I bought the Canon 30D, its jsut like riding a bike, once you learn its pretty much stuck in your head, plus I take pics everyday.. LOL
