Re: New car maybe?

so eps... you would rather drive a kia rio with 300,000 miles (i don't even know if that's possible) or a geo metro than a v6 mustang?
if so... that's just sad and unless you own one, you can't say not to buy one.

Re: New car maybe?

i think what eps is tryin so say is that its not worth 12-14g to buy a v6 stang. thats like throwing your money away if you would go to a car like 3 years older, grab the v8 same price.

but, heres the thing, your 16. i was 16 like 2 years ago. you dont want that insurrance. get a sedan 4 cyclinder stick. im dead serious. insurrance will be cheaper since its a sedan and they think 4 cyc + sedan = grocery getter for the kid. insurrance will be a lot cheaper. if you really want power grab a v6 sedan. make sure the car is old, as you might slip and sild3e into curbs as your learnin to drive. u might even hit a tree or pole. we just dont want to throwing yourself into a car you cant control when its wet outside, or dry for a matter of fact.

Re: New car maybe?

Eh, Its lookin' like the V6 Stang is what Im gonan go with. Found a few deals and now I just gotta go look at em and test drive and such. To clear a few things up / why V6 Stang is the winner....

1) Dad doesnt want me to drive a neon

2) He's paying for the car and insurance and gas

3) He'd rather me get a Stang than a small car.

4) I dont want a V8 just yet, lol, and neither does he. ( Ive only been driving for 2 months or so and Im still getting used to driving )

Man that is going to be so boring to you after only a few months, lol. You'd be better off gettin a manual and learning how to drive it. It will be much more fun to drive.

Now I'd be all about getting an automatic for a pure drag racing car, but not for a daily driver.

Re: New car maybe?

Yea dude just buy a Honda or some over safe econo car... seriously. It would be better on gas and cheaper on insurance. Why waste your money on the auto V6 stang? I mean you can try to look cool in it but as soon as people see its a V6 you will lose most peoples respect.

Re: New car maybe?

Yeah I figured Id get that

Right now Im just trying to learn to drive, and focus on the road and not shifting. I would get a GT, but my dad will be paying for the gas until july, so thats a no. I would get a manual, but my dad enjoys living.

My dad thinks the stang is a good midsize car to learn in. RWD will teach me to control a car, theyre pretty safe, etc. And hey, he's paying so Im not going to argue with him.

Ive looked around at other cars, but theres no good deals. Just tryin to get a decent car to learn in and maybe get something else later. Price range is up to 14 thousand or so. If anybody has any suggestions, feel free to throw them in, lol. Besides a Honda. Dont think he would buy a Honda.

And even if I wanted to get a stick, I really cant. Id be in severe pain within 15 minutes. I have JRA aka juevenille rheumatoid arthritis and my fingers, toes and every joint in my body is messed up ( My Immune system attacks my own joints cuz it thinks its a foreign invader - Basically, my immune system is a Dee Dee Dee ) I have to give myself injections every week too ( They hurt like a ***** ! lol )

Anyways yeah, Id kinda have a hard time shifting and operating a clutch. Looks like its gonna be auto's for life since its incurable and will only get worse

Well some day Ill have a manual, I dont care whats wrong with me, I WILL have at least 1 manual car in my lifetime....

If you don't boost it and give it a two hundred horsepower shot of nitrous...

I will leave you at the level of Butters.

Re: New car maybe?

i actually like your reasoning.. you sound pretty solid for a 16 year old... and i own a v6 stang... what? What!?!

i love the car personally, and I'm not trying to impress anyone (nor do i care personally) You get exactly what you want. don't care about anyone's "respect" "respect yourself".

I'll defend the 3.8l any day of the week. Do i want a gt? Who doesn't? Do i want good gas mileage? 20 city is great by me, 25 hwy is greater! can you get that with a GT? hah!

Yeah, do what he says. No matter what any of us say, get what YOU want, because you're the one that will have to live with it every day.

25 highway you say?? I think thats pretty good gas mileage, but man I can get 21 highway in a 5000 lbs+ 4WD truck with a V-8! So HAH!
