Do you like Civics? Just wondering...

I kind of like the front end of the LanEvo 7, but the rest of it... it looks like a grocery getter! Damned economy car looks!

Hell no I don't. Hey Tat II, did the random tech high-flow cat make a noticible difference in your car's performance? I was thinking about ordering one for my car.....

Really? Wow that's good to know. Maybe I'll look into getting one from random tech. then. Do you know of any numbers you could throw at me?

they found perfection wit the evo VI. years of building up a rally dominating reputation, making the lancer name something to be admired then they release the american teenie bopper inspired OZ rally edition.

love this country but just wish we had the japanese super cars.

They lost the rally dominating reputation with the VII as well. The car was too big to be agile in tight corners and they aren't getting as much suspension travel as they used to with the pick-up points of the new unibody. The unfortunate solution was to run longer struts, so the car has more body lean than most of the other cars on the WRC circuit this year. All in all, the redesign was a flop on track.

The justification? A larger back seat. Makes me wonder what the designers were doing...:bonghitte

You have to remember, as much as I hate to admit this, that racing isn't everything. They obviously redesigned it to appeal to the regular consumers in the compact hot rod market, not Tommi Makkinen. Lets face it, if the car doesn't sell, there won't be a WRC car to bitch about at all.

No, the base model Lancer is designed for transportation, the Evolution debuted as justification for Mitsubishi's involvment in the WRC. It's the production version of their race car. They created the whole damn TEAM around Makkinen. Remember the Tommi Makkinen Edition Evo VI's? It was in celebration of their victories with their race cars. Now the race car is crap because the base street car its platform is derived from has the most screwed up geometry on the circuit. Even the Skoda Octavia (which is little more than an Audi A4 in drag) is a better handling race car at the moment than the Evo. That's just flat out wrong.

And guess what. Now that the race car isn't winning, the EVO is losing cred on the street. Thus, sales are hurting. Remember, win on Sunday, sell on Monday.:finger:
