If it is enough to hold the lugnut on, AND they are all torqued down equally, then you should be good. I'd just be wary, you know? I mean I havn't seen it so I don't know how much is still there, but if there are only a few threads, going halfway through the nut...I wouldn't consider that safe (longterm).
